In this post, I am trying to demystifying the facts about cybersecurity which is a huge trending domain in IT. We will cover some interesting facts and some ways to protect them from those attacks.
 

So cybersecurity, which is one of the hottest domain in IT Field. In this pandemic, there are huge attacks going on throughout the world. Looking for hard numbers to back up your sense of what's happening in this cybersecurity world.

Ok now we can just dive into some of the interesting and shocking facts about cybersecurity

  • As from the surveys and studies that there is around 94% of malware delivered through email. So be cautious about emails that you are receiving and don't click any unauthorized links which is out of your knowledge.
  •  Here is the shocking fact is that a Phishing attack is the main reason for 80% of security-related incidents.So please do check the URL which you are visiting in your browser or any other stuff which helps to reduce the risk of a phishing attack and don't click any unwanted link.
            
  • Here is another shocking fact that around $17,700 is lost due to a phishing attack. I think this fact is quite jerking but this is a huge amount which is lost.
  • This fact might tell how difficult it to get a job in cybersecurity, Around 40% of IT leaders say cybersecurity jobs are the most difficult to fill. So from this fact, you can know that cybersecurity jobs need high skilled employees.
  • When surveying 6.2 billion files including health and financial records, about 1 in 5 records is completely open for global access
  • While around 14% of the Netherland population is impacted by cybercrime whereas 59% percent of the population of Indonesia was affected by cybercrime.
  • The unemployment rate in cybersecurity is 0%. By 2021 around 3.5 million cybersecurity jobs will be created, so there is a huge need in cybersecurity but there is a lack of skilled employees.
  • The amount of malware installed on Android Phones increased by 400%, While 72%  have free antivirus software on their laptops.
  • China is the country with more malware in the world. Well, half of the Chinese computers have been infected with malware.
  • A hacker attack occurs every 39 seconds. Once every single minute hacker attacks any given computer with internet access. These attacks impact 30% of Americans every year.
